Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Legaci Leather website or placing any order with us. By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. General
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Legaci Leather website and your purchase of products and services from us. Legaci Leather reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Products and Services
Legaci Leather offers:
- Handcrafted leather goods, including bags, wallets, laptop covers, and accessories
- Custom and personalised leather items (name, initials, or company logo)
- Corporate gifting solutions
- Leathercraft lessons (one-on-one and small group sessions)
- Digital gift cards
All products are handmade and individually crafted. As a result, minor variations in texture, colour, or stitching may occur and are considered part of the product’s character, not defects.
3. Ordering and Payment
Orders may be placed via our website contact form, WhatsApp, or email. Once your order is confirmed, we will provide you with a summary and payment details. Payment is required before production begins on custom items.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
4. Pricing
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. Free shipping is offered on orders over R500.
5. Custom and Personalised Orders
Custom orders are made to order and require your approval of the design before production begins. Once production has started, changes may not be possible. Custom items are non-refundable unless they are defective or differ materially from the approved design.
6. Delivery
We arrange delivery of completed items to the address provided at the time of order. Delivery times will vary based on the complexity of the item and your location. We will communicate estimated delivery timelines with you directly.
Legaci Leather is not responsible for delays caused by third-party courier services.
7. Returns and Exchanges
We take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship. If you receive an item that is defective or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at info@legacistudios.co.za.
Returns or exchanges will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Custom or personalised items are not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty.
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
8. Leathercraft Lessons
Lessons are available from R250.00 per session. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session may forfeit the payment. Group sessions are capped at four learners. Legaci Leather reserves the right to reschedule lessons where necessary.
9. Gift Cards
Digital gift cards are delivered via email and can be redeemed against any product available from Legaci Leather at the time of redemption. Gift cards are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and have no expiry unless otherwise stated.
10. Hope Foundation Donations
For every R500 spent at Legaci Studios, 10% is donated to the Hope Foundation. This donation is made on your behalf automatically and does not affect the price you pay. The donation is non-refundable.
11. Discounts and Membership
A 10% discount is offered to new subscribers on their first purchase of fully priced stock. Membership discounts are available to registered members. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively and are not transferable.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Legaci Leather website, including images, text, logos, and product designs, is the property of Legaci Leather and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
13. Limitation of Liability
Legaci Leather shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability to you in relation to any claim shall not exceed the value of the product or service in question.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
